The Narrow Door Projects:
Project 1: Meetings.
Outline: Sunday meetings (Church)
Progress: Launched, very minor success; multiple delays have caused continuation issues
Requirements: Awareness (people), Time (apx 9 hrs p/w)
Requirements Met: Not enough, I have little time and no other help yet.
Project 2: Direct Messages (The messages I deliver personally from my desk)
Outline: A video to teach on a Christian subject weekly
Progress: Ahead of schedule, I’ve recorded months in advance
Requirements: Better equipment and an Editor to save my time would help, Time (apx 6 hrs p/w)
Requirements Met: Fair. The basics are getting done
Project 3: Translation
Outline: To improve people's understanding of the Bible by using more appropriate words directly translated from the original via Strong’s
Progress: Fair, Matthew 1 to Matthew 10 complete, averaging 3 chapters per week (target 10-12) *time is not being assigned due to the initial plans and set-up of these projects
Requirements: Time only (apx 6 hrs p/w).
Requirements Met: ½ the required time is available now.
Project 4: The Bible; Verse by Verse
Outline: A Bible study directly from me to you, verse by verse, expanding when required.
Progress: Fair, Matthew 1 to Matthew 13 complete, averaging 4 chapters per week (target 12-14) *time is not being assigned due to the initial plans and set-up of these projects
Requirements: Time only (apx 7 hrs p/w).
Requirements Met: ½ the required time is available now.
Project 5: Websites
Outline: jehoshua.org and narrowdoor.org
Progress: Good. jehoshua.org is up and mostly complete. narrowdoor.org is not running, but merely links to jehoshua.org
Requirements: Time (apx 2 hrs p/w), mostly or money to have others develop the sites.
Requirements Met: Most, as they can stay as they are till a later time to improve them; however, important things like SEO are still required.
Project 6: Social Presence
Outline: Create and maintain a presence on Facebook, Instagram and other social media.
Progress: Facebook is running; all other social media sites are yet to have any presence
Requirements: Time (apx 3 hrs p/w) and or money for others to develop, I simply don’t have the time
Requirements Met: most, some help would be good though.
Project 7: BBQs (direct public contact)
Outline: Church in busy parks; free food with a message about God
Progress: Yet to launch
Requirements: A sign, food, cooking equipment, time (apx 3 hrs p/w)
Requirements Met: None, I’ll do this when I get a chance to launch in a week or so
Project 8: God? The Street Interviews
Outline: Interviewing people for their understanding of God and to note the lack of Christian knowledge so Christians can learn to evangelise better.
Progress: Launched 3 weeks ago, but missed this week due to needing to catch up on awareness and plans for these projects
Requirements: time (apx 5 hrs p/w), Better equipment and an Editor would help
Requirements Met: The basics are getting done; more time, people and resources would help.
Project 9: Ministry training
Outline: To equip people for the ministries and reach more for Christ..
Progress: Yet to launch
Requirements: time (apx 3 hrs p/w)
Requirements Met: None, I neither have the time nor are we at the stage where this needs to be launched
So, these are the things this ministry does and plans to do. I have listed the absolute minimum time needed for each of these. If I include the Macro project (things I do as a whole for this ministry, but are not project specific, like writing this message and planning, etc.), there's another 7 hours p/w with travel and other related but indirect things (eg. writing, creating, publishing ads), another 7-14 hours. I spent most of the last 2 days just trying to get a Facebook ad off the ground.
Why am I telling you this? I’m firstly giving you an idea of where this ministry is heading, but also letting you know why things are moving slowly (I simply don’t have much more than the 10-12 hours a day I put in every day, and as this is all I do (or have time to do in life) I simply don’t have the money to pay anyone and therefore those highly needed improvements will take a while.
